A Pretty Planner Especially for Moms!
As a mom, our life doesn't have to be random or chaotic.  With smart planning, we can create the life we love!  There are 5 Steps to Successful Planning which I will be sharing in this series (and you will find these steps are also built into The New Create My Life Planner).  They are:
  1. Plan for Balance
  2. Plan for Purpose
  3. Plan for Victory
  4. Plan Your Goals
  5. Plan Your Month and Week

Today, let's talk about how to #2 Plan for Purpose!

Here is where you explore and create your mission statement.

#1 Dream

To discover you purpose, you must first begin to do a little dreaming!   In your wildest dreams, what would you do or achieve or give to the world?

Write that down!

Your purpose ...
  • is important!
  • is God given (so ask Him to show you)
  • will make you cry

Remember, it doesn't cost you anything to dream big -so do!

#2 Gifts

While we're taking inventory, let's look at your natural interests and gifts (although you may need to develop skills). Finish these sentences ...
  • I'm interested in ...
  • I'm good at ...
  • I most love to ...
  • I feel alive when I ...

Write down your top three gifts!

#3 Vision

Are you starting to get a picture of your wildest dream coming true?  That's your vision for "hope and a future" (Jeremiah 33:3).  See yourself flying (succeeding) in your area.  Next:
  • draw a picture of your dream
  • include your success moment
  • post it on your bathroom mirror

Remember to keep your vision in front of you!

#4 Mission Statement

Now, you are ready to write your mission statement.  You can write it on page 12 of The New Create My Life Planner or on a piece of pretty stationary.  Here's how:

My life mission is to use my gifts of
(1) _______, (2) ________, (3)________
to help _________ (the cause I cry over) and to accomplish my wildest dreams of
_______________________________.

Having a mission state reminds you of your greater purpose beyond the daily routine!  You have seeds of greatness.  Now that you penned them, you can grow them ...
and plan for purpose!
Here are some resources to help you with your planning.
