The Basic Sweater was my tenth piece to be completed for the color coordinated vintage wardrobe. I was going to purchase a sweater, but didn't find what I wanted, so this bolero, a short jacket, became an extra sewing goal. This piece features:
soft pink knit fabric -for day or evening use
diagonal line and snap attachment
tailored with darts and interfacing
This piece was a challenge, but I persevered, and it will mix-and-match every other piece in my color coordinated vintage wardrobe.
The Cummerbund was my ninth piece to be completed for the color coordinated vintage wardrobe. Like a wide belt, I love this piece because it was a popular accessory in the 1950s for those lively events and is made rather thin so that if you're not model height, you can still wear it. This piece features:
gold rose fabric -for day use
Again, this piece will mix-and-match with all-but-one piece in my color coordinated vintage wardrobe (the water color pink shirt -still to be made).
