Little Minutes for Mom
Do you have a special Mom Time to rejuvinate? Enrichment Study Term I,  includes a Mom Time Reading List for nurturing the mother's soul. I chose:
  • 1 Book of Scripture
  • 1 Book of Fiction
  • 1 Book of Non-fiction
I want to share and invite you to a little Mom Time for yourself this term.
Mothers should cultivate their souls so that in turn
they may cultivate the souls of their children
.
- Billy Graham

Why?

This quote tells "why," as homeschool mothers, we need to cultivate our mind and soul.  Consequently, there are the opening lines to one of my selections for Mom Time this term, Mother Culture.

The idea is that we must pour-in in order to have something to pour-out.

What?

Inside Enrichment Study Term I, I've included a little chart that allows you to either join me in my reading selections or pick your own.  My selections are:
Scripture
Fiction
Non-fiction
Book of James
Rhoda's Reform
Mother Culture
  • Book of James is rich and encourages us to have faith with works and to "count it all joy" when trails come because it produces patience.
  • Rhoda's Reform is an out-of-print book, but it is a story about a girl of integrity that will follow the scriptures to "owe no man anything."
  • Mother Culture by Karen Andreola is an encouragment to create a happy homeschool with many quotes from Charlotte Mason and more.

A Bonus Teacher's Time Book:  I'll be reading . . .
  • Home Education Volume I (Preface & Part I) by Charlotte Mason

Where?

The Tote, with its grab-and-go advantages, is where I placed my:
  • Mom Time Books,
  • Pen,
  • Highlighter,
  • Journal (for writing down favorite quotations)
  • Crochet Project (the handicraft I will be doing for Term I)
The Tote, not only, can be taken to any favorite corner of the home -indoor or outdoor, but also, can be taken along on errands for those "waiting minutes".

An Invitation

Are you reading any good books?

You are most welcome to join me (and the other lovely moms that gather here) for these select readings to "pour-in" as we begin Term I or share your own selections as I'm sure the suggestions will be insightful to all.
