The New Create My Life Planner for Moms
Introducing ... The New Create My Life Planner for Moms!
As a mom, our life doesn't have to be random or chaotic.  With smart planning, we can create the life we love!  There are 5 Steps to Successful Planning which I will be sharing in this series (and you will find these steps are also built into The New Create My Life Planner).  They are:
  1. Plan for Balance
  2. Plan for Purpose
  3. Plan for Victory
  4. Plan Your Goals
  5. Plan Your Month and Week

Today, let's talk about how to #1 Plan for Balance.

write down your priorities

# 1 Priorities

If you want a balanced life -managing all aspects well, you will need to begin with a little personal reflection.  You must choose your priorities.  Ask yourself,
  • Who is important to me?
  • How do I need to spend my time?
After you have carefully pondered this, your list of top 3 prioirities might look something like ...
  • God
  • Family
  • Home
If you are a single mom or work outside the home, you may have to put "Career" in the third spot.  If you wear many hats, you may have to have up to 5 priorities adding in items like Homeschool, Self, or Others (such as community, church, country, etc.).

However, let me encourage you to choose your top 3 priorities first to get really focused on what's important to you and pick no more than 5!

#2 color code

The next order of business is to color code each priority. Highlight each a different color on your notepad or Create My Life Planner (p. 6).  You will use these assigned colors later in this series to ensure a balanced time schedule!  Color code ideas:
  • God - Yellow
  • Family - Blue
  • Home - Purple
  • Homeschool - Orange
  • Career - Green
  • Self - Pink

Can you think of other priorities?  Be sure to share them with us below.

a smart daily plan includes your priorities

#3 daily Plan

With your priorities in mind, you can now take tasks that need completed daily, and place them into a daily routine that saves you time and steps. Remember, a smart daily plan will include your priorities!

Here is some help with your dialy plan:
  •  Create My Life Planner (p. 7) has a daily plan already done for you.
  • Daily Routine Tutorial + Printable shows you who to create your own.

Life is like an empty cup.  What will you put in that cup? Priorities are like big diamonds; you can only fit 3-5 in there.  Remember to put the jewels of life in first place, and you will discover real balance.

Here are some resources to help you plan for balance!
