home is where the heart is
For the Adding Beauty to the Home Series, I am assuming you have already done the homekeeping hour which includes the 5 tasks on our free homekeeping calendar. I mention this because a pleasant home is first, and foremost, neat and clean.
So, what does bring beauty to the home? I think, after cleanliness, it is those pleasant things which touch the human senses, and thus the soul. For example . . .
Let's look at the first on the list, a pleasant scent to smell. Today, I will share my Top Three Ideas for adding beauty to the home through a pleasant scent to smell.
#1 Airing the Home
Air the home by opening windows each day. If it is near the foyer, anyone coming to your home will smell it.
When should I burn the candle? Why not, during ...
I purchase a large (18 oz. jar with lid) scented candle at Dollar General for $5 about once per month. If you use, the $5 of $25 coupon on Saturday, you get your candle for FREE.
#3 Cleaning with Essential Oils
You can see the FREE cleaning recipes that I use, but my favorite natural cleaning ingredients are: white vinegar, baking soda, and essential oils. When you clean with essential oils, just a few drops leaves a wonderful scent.
These are my top three favorite essential oil scents:
I use and LOVE the lemon essential oil in the kitchen and bath.
As a bonus, I would say that keeping bad scents out of the home (garbage pail, smelly pets, etc.) will help too.
So, there are three ways to add beauty to the home through a pleasant scent to smell:
